Five Steps to a Happy New Year
One. As you start the new year, know that there is nothing magical about January 1. Every moment of your life is an opportunity for a clean slate when it comes to your happiness. You can be happy now, if you are willing to choose happiness as your way of life.
Two. Know that happiness is not reserved for so-called beautiful people, lucky people, rich people, young people, or quite simply, “other people”. Happiness is reserved for you.
Three. If you doubt your ability to be happy, think about this: The goal of everything you do is in order to be happy. Your happiness is always within you, as natural and ever-present as the beating of your heart.
Four. If you don’t like the way you feel, know that you have a choice. Nothing can make you feel any way you don’t like feeling. Nothing.
Five. Devote yourself to the vision of the greatest happiness you have ever known.
